Sushi Garden Brentwood

Every single piece of nigiri was giant and delicious. I am a big fan of sushi garden. The quality of salmon is always so fresh and big. Tobico(flying fish roe) is also in a good shape. Alaska roll is my favorite in this restaurant. The Alaska sauce plays important role. And I love yam tempura roll. Sweet potato tempura is really crispy and sweet.

Here is the thing, I’ve been eating at this legendary sushi brand for over 20 yrs. Their first location was a little restaurant on Kingsway. Oh my, how things have changed. After traveling for 2 years we are finally ready to chow down on some great and FAST sushi take out. Prices didn’t seem to inflate that much here ( unlike other sushi joints around the city ) Their claim to fame was the SIZE of their nigiri . It did not disappoint, still fat sizes. A Burnaby staple for anybody that wants fresh sushi and get a bang for their buck!!

I don’t know why the rating is so low. I love this restaurant to the point that I overcame my laziness and left the review. Service is very fast, food is tasty, prices reasonable, you can get served and eaten in 10-15 min. This place always has lots of visitors during lunch time. Crazy California roll on the picture

Update: still am excellent place to get budget friendly sushi. The high traffic volume ensures fresh products and consistency. Still a place that I like to drop by and grab a couple rolls. I have been here many times throughout the years since they first expanded from their original location near Metrotown Metropolis. Sushi Garden fills in a niche that is popular in Vancouver: low cost non-authentic sushi made by non-Japanese people. They are usually run by Koreans, Chinese, Vietnamese, etc. With that said, within this category, Sushi Garden is a dominant player. They provide exactly what the customer is looking for: fresh inexpensive sushi, usually in larger sizes that feel like you got a bang for your buck! We come here regularly for those reasons and for that, we are always satisfied. We normally go for their dynamite rolls, chopped scallop rolls, spicy tuna rolls, salmon sashimi, Toro sashimi, seafood salad, and house rolls. Those items have never let us down. We try to avoid the dinner eating time as they are packed. We do take out to avoid that issue and to save time. Definitely a nice addition to the neighborhood.

I recently visited Sushi Garden at Brentwood, and my experience was a mix of positives and negatives. The staff seemed rushed and not very attentive. It took a while to get seated and even longer for someone to take our order. Once the food arrived, there were no follow-ups to check if we needed anything else. The restaurant also felt a bit cramped and noisy, especially during peak hours, which made it hard to fully relax and enjoy the meal. Overall, Sushi Garden is a decent spot if you’re looking for tasty sushi at a good price, but don’t expect exceptional service or a quiet dining experience.

this restaurant is fantastic I really enjoy myself whenever I come here. The staff is super kind and the food is fantastic!!! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good quality sushi!

Sushi Garden has great sushi and spicy mayo. I really love ordering takeout from here and will continue to do so as long as the quality and service is good. They now have online ordering which is good!

I ordered through their website for pickup on a Monday afternoon. It was very easy hassle free process. I followed up through a phone call to remind them of allergies. Mixed veg tempuras were good. California rolls and veg roll also did not disappoint. The chicken karages were ok, I was not impressed. Family enjoyed the food. Price was reasonable. Will try dining in next time.
